In the book 6th grade can really kill you written by Barthe deClements. Is about a girl named Helen who has trouble with reading and writing and gets in trouble a lot. Helen is afraid she won't pass sixth grade and won't be able to go to Junior High with her friends. Her mother won't admit that she needs special help so Helen doesn't get embarrassed or because she thinks that she herself is just doing quite fine teacher her. When offered a chance to go to the special ed room only for reading she wants to go but her mother won't let her. The book 6th grade can really kill you is a great book about the adventures of one girl named Helen and her adventures to Junior high. I really enjoyed the topic of this book and i liked how they explained the troubles of dyslexia throughout the year.
